The Iranian minister of health authorized Tehran Medical University (TUMS) to establish the national strategic plan for rare diseases in cooperation with Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran
RADOIR NEWS – As the round robin was signed to establish the Iranian national strategy for rare diseases by RD societies at 10th Rare Diseases Day in Iran held on 2nd March 2019 as well as continuous follow ups by Mazandaran and Gilan parliament representatives, Dr. Saied Namaki , the Minister of Health confirmed the establishment of National Strategic Plan for Rare Diseases in Iran by the expertise specialists of Tehran Medical University (TUMS) and Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran (RADOIR).
To be mentioned that RADOIR as the sole and non-governmental rare diseases advocate organization in Iran has been over qualified to prepare its national vision for rare diseases during the past years due to holding its medical committee to revise RD cases files each week . Also SABNA patient registry system is one of the outstanding achievement at which 300 rare diseases were registered from all over the country.
