President of the Islamic Republic of Iran honoured Dr. Hamid Reza Adraki, prominent member of the Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran
On the ceremony for commemorating the Iran’s National Doctor’s Day, Dr Hassan Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, appreciated and honoured activities done by Dr. Hamid Reza Adraki, prominent member of the Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran, as one of the 15 most prominent personalities and veterans of the Iranian medical community.
The said 15 veterans received the certificate of appreciation from the president for their active participation in promoting health within the Health Development Plan.
Since 2014 the Government has enforced the Health Development Plan and presently around 15 million individuals have been covered by its privileges.
Dr Hamid Reza Araki, just like what he did in the Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran for improvement of health situation, has played very important role to relieve the patients from the high costs of treatment they are facing.
At this ceremony attended by ministers and veterans of the Iranian medical community, President Rouhani said that some think that doctors shall only relieve them from their pains in their organs but this is not true; therapist and doctors are shelter in whom people shall take refuge.
A the end of the ceremony stating that being a scholar and a doctor is not inconsistent with the belief in the Almighty God and the fact that the real healer is only the Almighty God Dr Rouhani added: “In the field of medicine, science shall come with faith and any doctor who does not believe in his work will not be able to play his rightful role. Therefore doctors are considered as artists who also shall heal people reliving them from their sufferings”.
