Specialty and Subspecialty clinic for Rare Diseases will be opened
Specialty and Subspecialty clinic of Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran will start working in late May.
Dr. Zahra Riazi, infectious disease specialist and a member of the board, said:” the Specialty clinic is established with the aim of serving patients with Rare Diseases. Moreover, other patients with different diseases living in Tehran can use it as well but Patients affected by Rare Diseases can use the services freely.
At the beginning, the clinic will work 12 hours a day during the week and on holidays. Then will continue its activities for boarding.
Dr. Riazi added:” Specializations that the clinic will have include: Specialists in Internal medicine, cardiology, Rheumatology, Glands, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology in children, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Genetic counseling, specific tests and,…
Different patients will be visited by a qualified doctor.
We’re trying to equip the clinic in order to expedite care to emergency patients and outpatients, including nursing, operating small surgeries, casting, wound dressings, injecting. Besides, will provide an ambulance.
In addition, a package for diabetics and hepatitis tests will be offered to the patients two days a month.
At the end, Dr. Riazi while alluding to the future services of the center for rare diseases said patients don’t need to go to any other medical centers since they receive all the required services here.
