A meeting held between the Managing Director of Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran and Iran-Scandinavia chamber of commerce president for cooperation, fundraising and also Sweden investing in Iran.
Dr. Reza Khalili Deylami, the president of Iran-Scandinavia Chamber of Commerce, put more emphasize on establishing the office for Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran in Stockholm and said: “This foundation can be an overture for encouraging high-ranking Swedish officials, paving the way for investment needed for provision of medicine and scientific research for Rare Diseases .”
He added: Establishment of the office is an opportunity for Iranian living abroad to get more familiar with their country plan. Deylami said: Sweden is intended to invest in IT and Scientific Research and in some of these projects Queen of Sweden will invest personally. According to his words, now Queen Silvia has donated funds to the United Nations.
Dr. Deylami promised to hold a conference in Sweden parliament for introducing Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran by the next Spring. Dr. Davoudian, the Managing Director of Rare Diseases Foundation of Iran welcomed the issue. With regards to research and scientific limitations, it is a good opportunity for Iran in the field of Genetics.
Establishing Telethon, a Persian Media in Europe and Sweden was considered during the meeting for Iranian living abroad to donate and be involved in helping Iranian Rare Diseases Patients.
Telethone is a program under surveillance of Rare Diseases Europe for receiving donations through national media and it is broadcast once a year to help Rare Diseases Patients.
