Causes behind Alopecia Areata disease and its different types:
- Alopecia areata (a Greek word) known as spot baldness, is a condition in which hair is lost from some or all areas of the body. This disease might be caused by hormones failure, self-immune disorder, drugs side-effects, anemia…
- Alopecia Areata is not communicable and in addition to peripheral factors, genetic factors are playing a remarkable role in its appearance. In this disease the immune system attacks hair follicles (hair structures) leading to hair loss rising due stress and anxiety that can mostly be seen in the healthy individuals.
Different types of Alopecia Areata include alopecia areata totalis and Patchy alopecia areata.
